Nile Crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus)  The Mara River. About 5 minutes until the sun sets behind the horizon. The crocodile was lying along the bank up from the river for heat and light in an unaccustomed way, instead of wrapping it up like his friends and returning to the water. He got into this position as the last light beams illuminated his dragon like jaws from the front while the river and its bank was in shadows. It had been a hard day and this photo was well worth it.
