Common Wildebeest (Connochaetes taurinus)  The river crossing is very stressful for the wildebeests. River rocks might cause them to break a leg or trample each other. The greatest danger threatens the smallest, i.e. approx. 6-7 month old young. Crocodiles usually only attack the first group to arrive at the river. Afterwards they are already full and do not actively prey, because the river is full of drowned animals.
