Grevy's Zebra (Equus grevyi)  The end of February in Lewa Downs. The time when it is relatively cold and it often rains in central Kenya. Clouds, which Mt. Kena wraps around itself, are very low to the ground. During such weather, the solitary life style of this beautiful but very endangered breed of zebra is all the more distinguished. There are only about 2,000 of them. Due to their life style, they end up the prey of beasts more frequently than other breeds of prairie zebras. Thus their fate is very uncertain...
